How to Play

BECOME THE HORROR

You are Cthulhu, an Ancient Deity.
You did not come to save this world.
You came to destroy it.

Fight your way through enemy forces, tear down cities, and spread as much chaos as possible before the world finally manages to stop you.

ATTACK. FIGHT. DESTROY.

Move through the level, choose the best position, and fight everything that stands in your way.

Enemies gather in groups — a large crowd can surround Cthulhu and block his path. You cannot simply run through an entire army.

CHOOSE YOUR SPELLS

Cthulhu has access to many devastating spells, but you cannot use them all at once.

At the beginning of your journey, you can choose only one active spell from the available arsenal.

Choose wisely. Different spells excel in different situations: wiping out crowds, breaking through defenses, or controlling enemies around you.

As Cthulhu grows stronger, you will be able to unlock additional active spell slots, carry more spells into battle, and create increasingly destructive combinations.

Your active spell loadout is part of your strategy.

UNLEASH YOUR FURY

Cthulhu has many ways to deal with his enemies:

  • Crush them with devastating melee attacks.
  • Tear enemies apart with claws and tentacles.
  • Leap and stomp those caught beneath your feet.
  • Use powerful spells against large groups of enemies.
  • Chain attacks together to control the battlefield.

Different situations call for different attacks. What works perfectly against enemies in front of you may become useless when they swarm you from every direction.

DESTROY THE WORLD

Buildings are more than scenery.

Destroy structures and objects throughout the level to earn Destruction Points, increase your score, and grow stronger.

The more destruction, the better.

HARVEST SOULS

Cthulhu consumes the souls of fallen enemies to restore Mana, which fuels his supernatural powers and spells.

The larger the battle becomes, the more important it is to balance physical attacks and magic.

USE YOUR SPELLS

Mana allows Cthulhu to cast spells that can empower his attacks, strike multiple enemies at once, or drive them into blind panic.

Save your Mana for the right moment and unleash your power when the battlefield becomes critical.

SEEK THE ALTARS

Ancient Altars stand at certain points along Cthulhu's path of destruction.

Each activated Altar becomes a safe zone — a rare opportunity to prepare before continuing your assault.

At an Altar you can:

  • Restore Cthulhu's health.
  • Change your active spell loadout.
  • Access the in-game store.
  • Prepare for the next stage of your journey.
  • Use these moments wisely.

Once you leave the safety of the Altar, your path of destruction continues.

ADAPT. RECOVER. PRESS ON.

Reaching the next Altar is much more than simply reaching a checkpoint.

It is your chance to recover from the previous battle, rethink your strategy, and prepare for whatever the world throws at you next.

Choose your spells. Strengthen Cthulhu. Then step back into the chaos.

Your journey ends only when Cthulhu falls.

ENDURE THE ONSLAUGHT

The world fights back.

Enemies grow more numerous. Stronger forces enter the battle. The farther you advance, the harder it becomes.

Cthulhu grows stronger through destruction — but the opposition does not stand still either.
